María Trejos Montero is a retired teacher, graduated in Basic General Education at the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED). She has a diploma from the Philosophy Program for Boys and Girls –PFN. She is an illustrator, and author and co-author of texts and didactic material about inclusive non-sexist and emancipatory education. She is a consultant and workshop facilitator within the framework of a sociocultural and critical educational paradigm and popular education. She is an activist in Human Rights and a member of the Research Center of the SEPA Network and of the CEAAL-Costa Rica Center (Council of Popular Education of Latin America and the Caribbean). She loves Mafalda, her passion is to share with girls, boys and teachers without borders, greet her son and garden every day, swim, draw giving thanks to life.

María Trejos Montero es maestra jubilada, graduada en Educación General Básica por la Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED) de Costa Rica. Posee un diploma del Programa de Filosofía para Niños y Niñas (PFN). Es ilustradora, autora y coautora de textos y material didáctico sobre educación inclusiva, no sexista y emancipadora. Es consultora y facilitadora de talleres en el marco de un paradigma sociocultural y educativo crítico, así como de educación popular. Es activista en Derechos Humanos y miembro del Centro de Investigación de la Red SEPA y del Centro CEAAL-Costa Rica (Consejo de Educación Popular de América Latina y el Caribe). Ama a Mafalda, su pasión es compartir con niñas, niños y docentes sin fronteras, saludar a su hijo y cuidar su jardín a diario, nadar y dibujar dando gracias a la vida.
